Invitation to Join the Working Group on Climate Change and Emergency Medicine

Dear all,

We hope you enjoyed the recent BESEDIM evening focused on climate change and emergency medicine!

As you may recall, we initiated a call to form a working group aimed at advancing the sustainability and resilience of emergency medicine in Belgium in the face of climate change.

The first meeting of this working group will be organized soon:

When? Wednesday, December 18 at 20:00

Where? Cliniques Universitaires Saint Luc - Salle de réunion du service des Urgences (route 137) or online for those who cannot attend in person. While online participation is available for those who cannot attend in person, we strongly prefer physical attendance to facilitate better collaboration and discussion.

What? Together, we will explore opportunities to implement projects that enhance scientific knowledge on climate change or support practical initiatives for developing climate-resilient and environmentally sustainable emergency departments.

Who? Everyone is welcome! This includes nurses, doctors, administrative staff, and anyone working in an emergency department in Belgium.

Please fill out this form if you plan to attend!

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Best regards,

Dr. Laurence Daveloose (UZ Gent)

Dr. Katrien Van Lierde (ASZ Aalst)

Dr. Edouard Hosten (CHU Marie Curie, KU Leuven)
