DIPHTHERIA risk among asylum seekers

Since September 2022, Europe, including Belgium, has faced an epidemic of diphtheria among asylum seekers. These are mainly cases of cutaneous diphtheria, but cases of respiratory diphtheria have also been reported. In Belgium, 3 cases of respiratory diphtheria in children were recently reported.
